First Images

Here are a couple of images that I processed today – I’m hoping to make images on a regular basis after quite a long period of inactivity. Not all of them are destined to be used for competition/exhibition, but I’m trying to keep my hand in…so here goes…the first one was taken at Bamburgh last week…dodging the heavy rain showers…and the second at Temple Newsam in rather dreary weather a few weeks ago!

The ruined building is on the Temple Newsam Estate. I had been looking for a pig to put into it, but couldn’t find anything suitable! So, the addition of a Northumberland sky completed the picture. I was pleased with the way that the dark area of the sky co-incided with the chimney, as if it were a plume of smoke. Little things, they say….
